I'm Mel, I'm 22, and I've been a Caddicarus fan since I was 12. I grew up in a PlayStation family, and I was elated to find a PlayStation YouTuber in the sea of Nintendo YouTubers as I was adventuring into the world of game reviewers back in 2014. I quickly became hyperfixated on the Caddicarus channel, and no video went unwatched for the next several years. |
During this second run I've had as a Caddicarus fan, I've been dedicated to preserving the channel's history. It's always been a passion of mine, but I've really become serious about it in the past year. One of the reasons I have this passion is that the channel's history is so unique and has so many twists and turns compared to other channels of its genre - while Scott the Woz and AntDude have had pretty standard growths, I personally think Caddicarus has had the most entertaining one, while not being filled with drama.
It's also because one of the roles I've always spiritually had in fandoms/communities is to give love to things I feel don't get enough. In the Onward fandom I did things like compiling Google Docs of easily accessible lore for fans to use. While the fandom of the aforementioned Scott the Woz seems to have many people doing the type of history/archival stuff I do, I seem to be one of the few Caddicarus fans doing stuff like this - even after the channel has had a rebirth and hit a million subs. And I abide by the saying "be the change you want to see in the world"...so I went ahead and made this website for easy access to Caddicarus history!
One of my goals with this website is to get lumpies and germs of all eras into Caddicarus history! Whether you're a totally fresh subscriber or a veteran from the days of CoolText and Sundays, you'll find something on this website you'll like.
